After one year of no karting we went last Friday to Cartaya (Huelva) for the Andalusian Championship. After four hours driving I was exhausted so I went to bed straight away.

The next day was the free practice. We had seven sessions. At first my engine had to be runned - in. There were about twenty drivers, some were from Catalunya to prepare for the Spanish Championship. They were all very competitive drivers. My lap times were one of the fastest on that Saturday. I was overwhelmed that it went so well after one year without karting. My mechanic and I tested new motors and changed set - ups. It was a great feeling to overtake people with great ease. It feels very good to be one of the best.

On Sunday I was very excited. I wanted to win this race but most of all I wanted to gather some experience for the nationals. The warm-up didn't go very successfully. My mechanic changed the set - up and the calburation. The Qualifying was a bit better, my starting position was P8. It was disappointing that we didn't finish in the top five. In the pre - final I had a battle for seventh position with two other drivers. I tried to over take one driver, he pushed me on the grass so I fell back to ninth. This happened in the last lap so we ended being in the ninth position. In the final there were problems with my engine. Lost many positions because of that. I changed something on the carburation and it got better again.  After that many drivers had to lose positions because I overtook them. The number 1 of Andalucia pushed me out. It was very sad that we couldn't finish the race.

That was my weekend in Cartaya. Hope we achieve better results in the Spanish Championship.
